Mark Lindquist

Mark Lindquist received his Master of Landscape Architecture Professional degree (2002) from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design (Toronto, Canada) and his Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Architecture (Winnipeg, Canada). While at the University of Toronto Mark maintained an active role in the Centre for Landscape Research (CLR) where he conducted workshops for public participation using digital visualization. Mark has worked professionally at firms in the USA and Canada including The Olin Partnership in Philadelphia and du Toit Allsopp Hillier in Toronto, and has taught in Canada, the USA, the UK & New Zealand. Notable design projects include the redesign of Columbus Circle in New York City and Independence National Park in Philadelphia. While practicing he continued to be involved in research projects using digital visualization for urban design and planning evaluation, which lead to full-time academic pursuits that combine practice & research through collaboration with local community groups, government and other agencies. Mark continues to investigate the use of digital media in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Planning, collaborative digital design methods and techniques, and public space projects.
